FAQ #4 - Why did Elite-Fighters
start the Legacy American Kenpo Karate Section?
Since 1992, the founders of the Elite-Fighters
System of Martial Arts have been developers of American Kenpo Karate
training and reference materials. We wanted to produce the finest and
most complete information systems available, and we had succeeded. Many
of the 'top name' kenpo instructors have acquired our materials in order
to teach their students and seminar attendees. These items were available
at our first web site www.arnis.org
Testing and promotion to kenpo ranks are to
be done on our other website www.arnis.org.
Although, our main focus is on the development
of the Elite-Fighters System of Martial Arts, we have many American
Kenpo Stylists who feel orphaned and want 'finish' their journey in
kenpo before switching over to the Elite-Fighters System. Interestingly,
in kenpo we often have heard people say, "I'm going to get my Tae
Kwon Do black belt first, then I will study kenpo so I can know self-defense."
Now kenpoist say, "I'm going to get me kenpo black belt, then I
will switch to Elite-Fighters so that I will know how to fight."
Currently, about 60% of our Elite-FIghters practitioners are former
kenpoists - many others are in the process.
The materials that Eric Lamkin and Kevin Lamkin became
known for are now becoming available in our Legacy
