the Filipino art of arnis.

centered around close-range fighting.
Lo: (loh) grabbing technique
Lok-Ma: (lohk mah) rooting of a stance by sinking the
weight into the earth.
Lu: (loo) the Evasive Sidestep, literally "roll
back"
Lua: "Bone breaking." The native martial
art of Hawaii, now extinct, which was similar to Japanese jujutsu.
