General Execution Qualities
Scoring System
The Elite-Fighters
System scoring system is designed to rank individuals being testing
for advancement. The Ranking Trials requires the following General Execution
Qualities to be examined:
- Form - 3 points total
- Speed - 3 points total
- Flow - 3 points total
- Power - 3 points total
- Body Control - 3 points total
Form is the proper
application of basics within a standardized framework. For example,
a vertical outward block is to be executed in an outward direction with
the forearm in a vertical ending point, with the palm face inward. Proper
Form enhances power, speed, accuracy etc.
Speed is the amount
of time elapsed from the moment that the movement is decided upon until
the movement has been completed, This also referred to as Movement Time.
Flow is the ability
connect one movement to the next without loss of momentum, coordination,
balance, accuracy, speed or power. It is also referred to as grace,
synchronization and continuity of motion.
Power is defined as
the amount of displacement of an object in the shortest amount of time.
In physics. This breaks down into the equations:
Power = Work/time
Power = Force*displacement/time
Power=Force*velocity
Body Control is the
ability of applying a movement, or sequence of movements, exactly as
you intend. For example, after a kick has completed, a person with good
body control will be able to set his foot back to the ground when he
wishes, as opposed to the student who plants his foot down wherever
his balance determines it to go. We often state, "Let your mind
control your body - not your body to control your mind."
This category is an overall score taken
throughout the trials.
