Elite-Fighters Ranking Trials

The Elite-Fighters System of Martial Arts has devised a unique ranking verification system. The individual testing for rank advancement will undergo a series of Trials that will determine the exact level of execution that he/she possesses. If the candidate scores a high enough grade, he/she will ranked for that level.

The ranking trials will test in the following areas:

  • Physical Readiness/Fitness (15% of score)
  • Rudimental Strikes and Combinations (15% of score)
  • Core Material for the level attempted (Reactionary Defensive Methods, Strategic Offensive Methods, Ground Fighting Methods, etc.) (40% of score)
  • General Execution Qualities (Form, speed, flow, body control, etc) (15% of score), and
  • Specific Execution Qualities (Timing, decision making, control of opponent, safety control, etc.) (15% of score).

When you start off at the ranking trials, you start with a 100%, in each category. The score obtained in each category is determined by how you measure up to the standard listed for each level in the Praetorium. The total scores are then averaged for a final score. The score is then assigned within a grade level which determines the status of your rank. Here is how the scores for each grade are determined:

  • Elite - 95-100%
  • Expert - 80-95%
  • Proficient - 65-80%
  • Competent - 50-65%
  • Advanced Beginner - 35-50%
  • Novice - 0-35%

If you review the Elite-Fighters Ranking System, you will notice that only competent and above obtain passing ranks for the Defender and Guardsman Level. Enforcers and Protectors must obtain scores of 65% and higher. Lancers and Paladins must score at 80% or higher.

To obtain the highest score, you must

  • Be in shape
  • Execute you movements with great form
  • Know your material
  • Develop a second nature with your skills
  • Practice with a partner.

A lack in any of the areas will greatly affect your overall score. You cannot expect to be graded as 'Elite' if you are out of shape. Nor can you expect to control an opponent if you train solo. For instance, suppose you are in great shape and know your material second nature, but you tend to be reclusive and don't practice with anyone. The best you can hope to score is an 85%, which makes you an expert, however, you may have been able to be elite. Conversely, if you are a life-long martial artist, but in bad shape, you too, may not be able to rank as an Elite level in your ranking class. So start training now. Follow our guidelines and you can make it.

A sample of how the Physical Fitness scores will be graded are as follows:

These Physical Fitness Scores are from the US Army Physical Fitness Test. The US Army has put thousands of individuals for all demographics to result in very accurate statistical results. Similar scoring statistics are used in scores the other areas of concern. This results in a very accurate, fair and legitimate scoring system in which to grade students. The Elite-Fighters System of Martial Arts has developed this method of scoring to prevent corruption and favoritism.

The Elite-Fighters System of Martial Arts Kicking Requirements are now on display. A selection of these kicks will be required as part of the Rudimental Strikes and Combinations section of the RankingTrials. Do not be intimidated by the vast volume of the kicks - you will be able to succeed if you follow our program!

We are not looking for great numbers.
We seek to develop a new Elite Class of martial artists that
